3.10.7 Bulk SMS

This article details creating and/or editing Bulk SMS.

Designed specifically with retailers in mind, this feature aims to facilitate widespread communication with ease. Retailers can acces the "Bulk SMS" page via the admin portal (Settings > Bulk SMS) , where they'll find a table presenting a detailed history of their previous SMS dispatches. This historical data includes the date of sending, content of the message and the total number of recipients.

Once the message is finalised, the system instantly sends. the SMS to all numbers. The cost of this service is conveniently billed into VulaCoin, with rates standing at 21 VC per SMS within South Africa. Eswatini is also supported at 34 VC per SMS.

*We are currently unable to support international messaging. 

a) Creating a new Bulk SMS

A new Bulk SMS can be added by clicking on the Add button ( ).

1. CSV - This is the name that will be displayed on the user interface for the bundle. Number in the CSV file can be enter with the SA country code (+27) replacing the 0.

2. SMS Content - Enter your SMS content in the textbox. 1 SMS = 160 characters.

3. Save - Save you Bulk SMS by clicking on Save.
